E. W. Heier Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1995 by Robert F. Schumann in memory of E.W. “Ike” Heier, professor and campus greenhouse manager. The scholarship is awarded to a full-time student with a demonstrated interest in botany as demonstrated by volunteering in the greenhouse and academic excellence. First preference is given to students with need, but no-need students will also be considered.

Student must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the BU Financial Aid Services Office. No other formal application is required. Selection of applicant done by the manager of E.W. Heier Teaching and Research Greenhouses. Selection of recipient is made late March to early April for the following academic year.
