Valentina and R. Gordon Wasson Scholarship

Established in 1996, by Mary X. Britten, a faculty member, in honor of her parents, who displayed an insatiable thirst for knowledge, utmost respect for people and a commitment to excellence. This scholarship is awarded to matriculate full or part-time Decker College of Nursing doctoral degree candidates (master’s degree candidates will be considered for the award until the doctoral program is established). Based on academic merit and/or financial need; funding is awarded to students who exemplify unconditional caring for people, integrity, and principles practice.
A review of qualified students is done based on donor terms, recipients are selected in the Spring for the following academic year.
