Jean Su and Charles M. Kim '98 SOM Scholarship

Established in 2010 by Jean Su and Charles M. Kim ’98. This scholarship will be awarded to a SOM student of Korean descent who is a resident of New York State. Student must demonstrate financial need and be PELL eligible. The recipient must demonstrate academic merit. The recipient will retain the scholarship for up to three more years of undergraduate study provided they remain enrolled full-time, demonstrate financial need by filing a FAFSA each year, and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Student must have a FAFSA on file to demonstrate financial need according to federal financial aid guidelines. No additional application or inquiry is required in order to be considered for this scholarship. A review of qualified students is done based on donor terms, and selection is made based on high academic achievement and financial need. Recipients are selected in the Spring for the following academic year.
